Conversion Rate Optimisation (CRO) Specialist

We are a client focused agency and our clients major on seeing results our efforts. The role of CRO specialist is to sit at the heart of the digital team and for this person to become integral to everything conversion related.

You will have access to our content, design, account management, SEO and tech teams giving you everything you need to manage the customer journey, putting your test hypotheses into practice and delivering fantastic results.

This is a new role that has been identified as essential to the wider growth of the agency. As such you will have the opportunity to recommend your own preferred approach and technology stack in order to achieve gains for our clients.

Reporting into the Digital Director and working with the Client Services Manager and Web Services Manager (and their teams) this is an opportunity to introduce new thinking and drive real improvements in the delivery of client campaigns.

Responsibilities and Duties

You will be responsible for delivering an excellent customer journey across digital platforms and drive conversion rates. Core activities will likely include:

  • Customer insight analytics & user research
  • Optimisation strategy and planning to improve conversion and ROI
  • A/B and MV Testing
  • Create and refine roadmaps
  • Liaise with and work closely with internal teams
  • Clearly convey your testing ideas through concise written briefs and wireframes
  • Supporting in upskilling the account management and production teams in Ux/CRO

We also have a number of in house brands websites (including publishing and events) that we would like this person to get involved with.

Qualifications and Skills

The ideal candidate will have experience of:

  • At least 2 years experience within CRO
  • Managing, leading and developing roadmaps for lead generation goals
  • Confidently using analytics, collecting & driving improvement ideas from customer insights
  • Creating test plans, using split testing software and analysing split test results. Turning those results into actionable suggestions to improve campaign performance
  • Working with web analytics, customer insight data and findings from user testing to develop winning test ideas.
  • Brainstorming new experiment plans with the teams, and have a hands-on approach for the creation and implementation of these ideas.
  • Affiliate marketing, SEO, PPC, offline marketing/sales, email marketing and direct response.
  • Knowledge of WordPress, HTML, CSS and Javascript

And be able to:

  • Clearly convey your testing ideas through concise written briefs and wireframes
  • Coordinate with key partners across the business, from research, design and content through to tech and senior management.
  • Work with an agile environment
