Event Producer

The Ascot Group is a fast-growing, dynamic marketing, media and technology business in Worle, Weston-super-Mare. It operates across 3 sites with 90 staff, with ambitious plans for the future.

The Group manage a growing portfolio of events across the UK and an exciting new role has become available for an Events Producer.

The successful applicant will have ‘cradle to grave’ responsibility for the production, management and commercial success of events such as conferences, awards, networking events, exhibitions and round-tables.

This role is fundamental to the success of the business and you will be working with the directors to drive brand awareness, sponsorship, revenue and then move to project management, ensuring the event production and content goes according to plan.

The Event Producer will also be responsible for company-related events such as training seminars, customer visits and open days, recruitment events, staff conferences and social activities.

The Ascot Group plans to expand its portfolio of external and internal events and the role will quickly develop and expand into a team.

Duties will include

  • Work closely with the directors to create the event themes, categories, content and objectives
  • Manage a forward plan of all group internal and external events
  • Develop and implement agreed marketing plans for each event
  • Manage brand reach including leveraging influencers, partners and third-parties
  • Drive event activity such as award entries, delegates/ticket sales, sponsorship revenue, stand-space
  • Create first-class experience for delegates; from registration/attendance through to event close
  • Source and work closely with partners – venues, AV, agents, speakers, judges, hosts, entertainment, software solutions, caterers, transport and logistics, etc
  • Track and manage relationships with all delegates, sponsors and speakers and report on progress – resolving conflicts, complaints or problems
  • Oversee event itself, ensuring the attention to detail that is synonymous with Ascot Group events and customer experience
  • Implement strong post-event marketing strategies to re-sell follow-up activities, events, or re-bookings
  • Research new events, creating budgets and plans
  • Report on budget and financial controls, event objectives/metrics and performance


  • Minimum of 3 years event production experience
  • A confident, experienced communicator with excellent telephone/face-to-face skills
  • Highly organised, with a proactive approach to tasks
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Ability to adapt, prioritise and meet deadlines
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and experience using CRM software
  • Have an understanding of both digital and traditional marketing
  • Full UK driving licence and flexibility to travel
