Sam Cross, account director at leading full-service marketing agency Purplex, is celebrating ten years with the award-winning firm.
Sam joined Purplex in February 2009, initially as a copywriter working on client campaigns, but he quickly progressed through the business and was appointed account director in 2014.
Today he is responsible for developing powerful multi-channel marketing strategies for some of Purplex’s largest clients.
Sam comments on his decade of service:
“Purplex has grown enormously over the past 10 years and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed being part of this journey.
“When I first joined, we had seven staff and predominantly offered ‘traditional’ marketing services such as PR and direct mail, whereas today we have more than 70 staff and offer the full spectrum of marketing services including online lead generation, TV and radio.
“The business has changed a lot in the last decade but our obsession with delivering results has always remained the same, and that is why we’ve been able to retain and attract so many clients.”

Purplex Marketing was founded in 2004 by Andrew Scott, who previously acquired, built and sold several successful businesses in the building products and home improvement sectors. The company has grown by at least 34% every year and was recently named ‘Best Construction Marketing Agency’ at the 2019 UK Enterprise Awards.
