We have been supporting Shelforce with its PR activity and award entries for more than five years, so we were more than happy to support them with their application for this once in a lifetime opportunity.
Our PR and marketing team completed the 7000+ word entry form, attended a King’s Award training day in the midlands and, when the fantastic news came through that the team had won, organised a press day on the morning of the official announcement.
As a result of a carefully planned and executed press strategy and successful media liaison, our PR team secured film crews from BBC Midlands Today and ITV Central who covered the story for primetime news slots later that evening.
Radio interviews on Greatest Hits Radio west midlands, BBC west midlands were also organised and planned in line with the official launch date.
To help spread the incredible news to an even bigger audience, our team also drafted a press release which was distributed among both the national and glazing press. As a result, it was featured on the BBC news website and received widespread national, local and industry specific coverage.
