About You
The SEO Manager will be responsible for managing the day-to-day performance of our SEO team, including our in-house and overseas teams, ensuring work is delivered on time, to a high standard and in line with client objectives.
You’ll be confident owning and developing SEO strategies, reviewing performance data, identifying opportunities and ensuring activity is aligned with wider content, web, account management and marketing goals. You’ll work closely with account managers to understand client priorities, support client meetings, provide clear SEO recommendations and ensure communication across client accounts is joined-up and commercially focused.
You’ll also work closely with the content team to ensure SEO and content strategies are aligned, and with the web team to support sitemap planning, best practice implementation and SEO sign-off before new websites go live.
Search is changing quickly, with AI-driven results, algorithm updates, Generative Engine Optimisation and changing user behaviour reshaping how businesses achieve visibility online. We’re looking for someone who understands these challenges and can help Purplex and our clients stay ahead without losing sight of strong technical foundations, useful content, ethical SEO and measurable performance.
Success in this role will mean helping clients improve organic visibility, ensuring SEO strategies are clear and commercially focused, supporting account managers with confident insight, improving departmental processes and helping the wider SEO team deliver consistent, high-quality work.
You’ll be the point of escalation for SEO team members, helping to solve challenges, improve ways of working and support professional development across the team.
