Mark Allen Group acquires Glazing Summit conference from Purplex founder
As co-organisers of the Glazing Summit, we’d like to announce that Mark Allen Group – which owns Glass & Glazing Products magazine and the Installer Awards – has acquired the Glazing Summit conference.
Discussing this move, the founder of the Glazing Summit and our CEO Andrew Scott, says: “I created the Glazing Summit to enable the industry to connect, learn and share valuable insights and experience. We held the first event in 2018 and it’s gone from strength to strength with a first-class conference and gala dinner. This year we had almost 500 industry professionals attend the event tackling the biggest issues facing our sector.”
Over the last 37 years Andrew has acquired, built and sold several businesses within the glazing sector and Purplex was launched in 2004 to advice companies on business and marketing strategy.
“Mark Allen Group is a major media business that specialises in events such as the Glazing Summit and are ideally placed to take the event forward,” adds Andrew.
“Both Purplex and its sister company, Insight Data, will continue to support the summit as it goes from strength to strength, while I look forward to spending more time working closely with clients as the industry faces some challenges ahead.”
