Purplex helps Lightfoot Windows achieve growth with digital marketing

Lightfoot Windows has been a trusted supplier of steel windows and doors since 1935, with a reputation built on its long-standing relationship with Crittall Windows. As the most experienced Crittall specialist in the UK, Lightfoot has supplied and installed these iconic products primarily across London, the South East and the Channel Islands for nearly nine decades, and also delivered several successful products nationwide for clients.

The Results

The impact of the new marketing programme was quickly evident. Within just a few months of launch:

76 Facebook leads were generated, with 42 already in direct discussion with Lightfoot.

Facebook, which had previously underperformed, now accounts for 10% of all leads (67 out of 659).

Website enquiries surged, accounting for 45% of all leads (299 out of 659).

The brief

Despite its enviable heritage, Lightfoot recognised the need to modernise its marketing and reach new customers online. The company approached Purplex Marketing to deliver a comprehensive marketing strategy that would raise visibility, generate qualified leads and showcase its expertise as a Crittall specialist.

The partnership

Purplex began working with Lightfoot in spring 2025. The partnership included the design and launch of a new website, complete with a user-friendly estimator tool, to make it easier for customers to obtain indicative pricing. The Purplex creative team also produced a corporate video and photography for the homepage to present the business with a professional, contemporary image. 

Alongside the website launch in May, Purplex implemented a multi-channel digital strategy. This included search engine optimisation (SEO), social media management, pay-per-click campaigns and social advertising. Importantly, Facebook was identified as a platform with untapped potential, and targeted campaigns were introduced to generate leads. 

The relationship between the two companies mirrors the successful long-term collaboration Purplex has with Crittall Windows, for whom Purplex manages PR and marketing activity. This shared experience gave Lightfoot trust and confidence in Purplex’s ability to deliver meaningful results.
