Andrew Scott wins Best Guest Speaker award
Andrew Scott, Managing Director of Purplex Marketing, has been honoured with the Best Guest Speaker award at the Dealmakers Awards in London.

The award recognises Andrew’s contribution as a speaker and mentor within the Dealmakers community, where he works with acquisition-led entrepreneurs at varying stages of business growth. His sessions focus on the realities of business ownership, including leadership pressure, decision-making, and sustainable growth.
Speaking after the ceremony, Andrew said:
“Being a business owner is one of the hardest and most stressful vocations there is, and my passion is inspiring and mentoring those entrepreneurs who are out there bringing their vision to life.
“Recently, I spent a full day coaching 12 business owners in London, each facing different challenges across different industries and stages of growth. Despite those differences, many of the core challenges are the same.
“I do it because I want to help, to encourage UK business, support risk-takers, and contribute to building a stronger future. I never expected to receive an award for it.”
Andrew often references his early life growing up in Belfast during the Troubles era in his talks, before moving to England at the age of 18 and beginning his entrepreneurial journey.
He founded Purplex Marketing over two decades ago and has grown it into a specialist marketing agency serving the glazing, construction, home improvement, and building products sectors. He is also the founder of Insight Data, the UK’s leading provider of verified marketing data for the construction and fenestration industries.
Alongside leading both businesses, Andrew is a regular speaker, author, and mentor, sharing practical, experience-led insight with entrepreneurs and leadership teams across the UK.

The Dealmakers Awards celebrate leadership, contribution, and results within the Dealmakers community, which is led by entrepreneur and investor Jonathan Jay. Andrew will also be hosting a free live business growth webinar on Thursday, 15 January 2026 at 11.00 am, aimed at business owners navigating tighter margins and softer demand. The session will share strategies currently being used by high-performing companies to grow despite market pressures.
