Purplex Commercial Director to Spearhead Supplier and Trade Partnerships

At Purplex, we have strengthened our partnership-led growth strategy, with our Commercial Director, Sam Cross, taking on an expanded role focused on developing strategic industry partnerships.

Sam has been part of the Purplex team for 17 years. He will continue as Commercial Director while leading our growing network of partnerships with manufacturers, trade organisations, accreditation schemes and industry bodies across the construction and glazing sectors.

Sam Cross, Commercial Director at Purplex

This move reflects what we are seeing across the market. Suppliers and trade organisations are under pressure from their customers to provide meaningful marketing support, lead generation and business growth guidance. Many want to add value, but marketing is not their core function, and they lack the internal resources to deliver it effectively.

As Sam explains:

“Across the construction and building products sector, we’re seeing more suppliers and trade bodies being asked by their customers for help with marketing and lead generation. These organisations want to add value, but marketing isn’t their core business.

My role is focused on building partnerships that allow them to support their customers’ growth in a meaningful way, while creating sustainable routes to market for Purplex. When B2B suppliers, fabricators or trade members grow their businesses, it drives increased demand back through the supply chain, so everyone benefits.”

Building Value Across the Supply Chain

Our partnership model is practical and commercially focused. We work alongside manufacturers, systems companies and trade bodies to provide structured marketing support packages, educational resources and advisory services. This often includes website health checks, strategy sessions and lead generation frameworks that partners can offer to their customers without pressure or obligation. The aim is simple. Help more businesses across the supply chain generate enquiries, improve performance and grow sustainably.

We already work in partnership with a number of leading manufacturers, accreditation schemes and industry bodies. Through these collaborations, we help increase member value, improve engagement and drive measurable commercial results.

Our CEO and founder, Andrew Scott, commented:

“Sam has an exceptional understanding of both our clients and the wider industry. This enhanced focus on partnerships allows us to scale our impact, support more businesses across the sector and continue delivering tangible growth for our clients and partners alike.”
